Application Area

Project Time Management (PTM) module is intended to support complete business cycle of service professionals companies that sell their working time to their customers and need an efficient tool to plan and register this time and invoice it quickly.

Business workflow, implemented via PTM module, is supported by number of standard Dynamics AX (Axapta) modules, where PTM is integrated into workflow chain as extended part of standard Dynamics AX (Axapta) Project module.

Therefore, PTM module is to be applied to the companies that need to register working time of their employees onto particular projects. Situations when employees enter their hours during or after the work for particular project are typical for service professionals (notaries, lawyers, auditors, developers, etc).

Dynamics AX Approach

Unlike to standard hour journals of Dynamics AX (Axapta) Project module, PTM suggests another view to the time registration procedure, allowing easier registration of time using day-by-day navigation over transactions instead of navigation over journals.

Another key feature of PTM module is a convenient navigation over projects with powerful search and filtering capabilities. It presents sold-, internal workload-, and realized hours in one view.

Main Features

  • Registration of agreements with customers regarding number of hours to be sold for particular task (Sold-hours).
  • Registration of forecasts of internal hours to be spent for particular task (Workload-hours).
  • Registration of working time by employees for particular task (Realized-hours).
  • Analysis of Sold-hours (already sold to the customer) against Workload-hours (planned to be spent for the task in total) and against Realized-hours (already spent by fact).
